Q&A: What size frame is best for me?
It depends entirely on how much width you want around the borders.
I would recommend that if you want to buy the 30x40cm frame, unless you want to place the print on an additional background mount (like a piece of card), you should use the frame with the mount.
Using without the mount will create a surplus border of 9cm in width, and 10cm in height - think a noticeable amount of "empty space".
Note: This print cannot be up-scaled to larger sizes at this stage of operation, but may be something the business will consider introducing at a later stage.
If you're looking for a framed option to use with or without a mount where the print runs parallel to the frame, you'll want the 21x30cm frame instead (A4).
Using the mount allows the print to fit snugly inside the frame, and the flexibility of using the frame without the mount, gives you the option to frame the print as an A5, in an oversized A4 frame.
In essence it comes down to whether you want the frame to be oversized or whether you want the print to be a perfect fit with the frame.
Ordering the print as a framed option is hassle-free, quick and easy - less time hunting around for frame dimensions, but ultimately the choice is yours.
