From Vision To Creation

Revolucian Prints began with a simple idea: that art and powerful words of affirmations can help people feel a little stronger, calmer, and more hopeful. It was about fusing mental wellness and a calm zen of a safe home space with the power of the paint palette. Introducing quirky niche essentials, serotonin boosting happiness, and utter silliness mixed with absurdity, it’s grounded within the roots: Art With Heart, Creation With Purpose.

 

I'm Lucian, the illustrator behind the designs, the director, and founder of Revolucian Prints. Revolucian Prints was born in September 2025 from the comfort of my studio in the city of Colchester, Essex, in the UK. Painting has always been a way for me to process thoughts, emotions, experiences, and using creativity to manage feelings of anxiety and restlessness. After taking a break from the world of hospitality and managing teams in the workplace for 15 years, I decided to take a different route, asking myself what the next step toward achieving my aspirations was. 

Over time I began turning those drawings into artwork which carry encouraging messages of positivity, meaning, and sentimentality - think witty puns and ‘dad humour’. I tend to base a lot of my work around the things I see everyday, and as my studio is surrounded by woodland, marshes, and wildlife, my pieces tend to take influence from the nature themes. I combine an acrylic-realism approach with a cartoon-style to bring nature to life through the art of anthropomorphism, seeking inspiring from music and pop-cultural influences. 

What started out initially as a series of prints, quickly developing into greeting cards, and then soon after expanded to include a vast range of limited collections and merchandise products, such as candles, clothing, bags, and phone cases. Keeping true to the authenticity of the Revolucian Prints branding, branching out to include a larger range of items has given our customers a more exclusive, fully customisable, gift-shop feel, with something for everyone. 

After all, Revolucian Prints is about more than decoration - it's about offering something different, that’s made with total love and designed 100% with natural materials, hand-painted, and encourages small reminders to laugh, breathe, and reflect. Revolucian Prints: The Birth

Choosing a business name that boasts the individuality, energy, and character of what the business sells, was an easy decision. ‘Lucian’ has Roman-Latin origins derivative from the ancient Lucius, and simply means ‘light’ and ‘illumination’. As the aims and visions of Revolucian Prints is about bringing light and laughter into the sometimes dark and mundane stresses of everyday life, and the word ‘Revolution’ means ‘big change’ and new ways of ‘living’ - this fit perfectly into the concept of home improvement, decor, and new positive changes. By changing the spelling of Revolution to embody the brand with the person, it creates a transparent, integrative, and transformative label, with ‘Prints’ defining the business speciality.

Revolucian Prints shows the power of transformation through art, the spiritual process of overcoming anxiety, and finding calm simply through creating a space you adore. We fuse art with serenity through uplifting, positively affirming, and humorous paintings, cementing a brand which puts our customers at the forefront, and creating with completely intention.
